I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381775524718417318.post-71816097398884058592010-01-14T15:12:57.756-08:002010-01-14T15:12:57.756-08:00It was great to be able to read the introduction a...It was great to be able to read the introduction at a meeting today. Tying it to the session as facilitator of Rochester neighborhood showing the lesson you learned on listening. You recognized the change from facilitator, coordinator to voicing your solution to see the effect on the group. You seem to have done the hard part with recognition so can think about the reaction. Much like the recognition of smoking, drinking as a problem is the hardest part for many individuals with those problems.

Our meeting was terrific. Facilitation flowed very well to lead the group with the questions. The part that I liked was when Marcia sensed someone in the group looking uncomfortable(twitching in seat, looking other way, etc.). The individual was held back to voice a disagreement. The group shared respect that it is good to disagree, raise concerns. The facilitator added that we want to focus on positive aspects of the topic. The dialogue flowed very nicely. Assigning note taker, facilitator and Host is definitely a good idea.openbeamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10936250897957554301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381775524718417318.post-49459529674331982232009-06-22T07:41:36.284-07:002009-06-22T07:41:36.284-07:00From RH:

In web 2.0, I think the concept of coaching most relates to the term, apomediation: http://scholarlykitchen.sspnet.org/2008/08/28/apomediation-word-of-the-day/

In medicine and health care, we strive to assess and advocate for what we feel/think may be rationally in the patient's best interest, but also respect, adapt and respond to what the patient ultimately chooses to do based on where they and their families are at. Wise coaches or educators also have an amazing sense of equanimity, let alone the trust, empowerment and other qualities you mention so nicely below.

... Mysteriously the meeting on Thursday was canceled last minute. Though late, she was able to come to the talk.

Another attendee, Vardhini usually had to work through lunch. But that day, she took time off for a doctor appointment. Then she found out that her doctor appointment was the next day. She had made a mistake. I must admit that the hospitality, flexibility, and curiosity of our hosts/audience helped transform a potentially chaotic situation into a bubble of fresh ideas and enlightened collective interest.

I look forward to seeing how we can all gather again to extend this discussion/format to LPG members-at-large as well as others in our community...until then, keep breathing, exercising, logging on, and enjoying the moment. The need for mindfulness, nonjudgemental attention, forgiveness/acceptance, and shared understanding are certainly critical in the days ahead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381775524718417318.post-53764242336172958072008-09-15T13:38:00.000-07:002008-09-15T13:38:00.000-07:00There is "The Leadership Pill: The missing ingredi...There is "The Leadership Pill: The missing ingredient in motivating people today." by Ken Blanchard.

Rich HartmannAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381775524718417318.post-87296764241690884792008-09-15T11:11:00.000-07:002008-09-15T11:11:00.000-07:00Forgot to mention that Sandra had to go to TM, tho...Forgot to mention that Sandra had to go to TM, though she did take time to bring us into IBM and get badges for Ji-Yun and me.

Surya tried to call in but our phone was not enabled.allnodeaolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04783691776330230758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2381775524718417318.post-32616380271753743802008-09-11T11:36:00.000-07:002008-09-11T11:36:00.000-07:00Thank you all.
